Richard Jefferson speaks at the Acacia Learning Forum, Dakar Senegal

In an interview made by AfricanCommons.org at the Acacia Learning Forum, in Dakar Senegal on October 7, Richard Jefferson talks about the Initiative for Open Innovation.

Richard explains that in business schools, open innovation is used to describe a way of utlising other peoples' innovations to develop new business products - the "not invented here" syndrome. The Initiative for Open Innovation however, is about creating an open innovation ecology. It's about providing the right tools and capabilities so that more people will have the potential to innovate.
